“When I’m not busy with wedding and event details, I enjoy hunting for unique and quirky objects to incorporate into event decor, doing crossword puzzles, and volunteering at an Evanston-based diaper pantry.”

I’m Krys Juleen, the “K” in Aisle K Celebrations.

After serving in several positions within the federal judiciary and the Department of Justice, I worked for many years as the administrative assistant to a federal district judge in Chicago. I am very fortunate to be able to combine the high level of responsibility required for those jobs with my love of all things wedding and party-related! For more years than I can remember (!), I’ve also been serving as a day-of coordinator at a busy church in Evanston, Illinois, where I’ve been present at many rehearsals and ceremonies for weddings with between 30-300 guests!

I have decades of professional administrative experience under my belt, and over the years have honed my organizational and time management skills.  I have also been a mother of the bride, so I know firsthand all that goes into pulling off a successful celebration. I’m a whiz with attention to detail, preemptive thinking, acting as a vendor liaison, and troubleshooting any hiccups that may arise along the way.  Additionally, I enjoy helping couples integrate unique and personal touches into their events, which ultimately result in one-of-a-kind bespoke celebrations.

My approach is easy-going, yet professional, my rates are reasonable, and if you visit my “Thumb’s Up” page, you’ll see that I have some pretty good reviews!  I enjoy being a small part of each and every event, and am continually honored when couples and their families put their trust in me.

How can I help YOU?

  • I’ve sent a lot of couples down the aisle! Whether serving as the day-of coordinator at the church (mentioned above) or in my capacity with Aisle K, I’ve done everything from rewiring broken boutonnieres to running down the street after a disoriented bagpiper while the ceremony was still in progress!; I have handed out programs when there was no one else to do so, made sure all lipstick smudges have been wiped off, and been the one to hand out the tissues when the happy tears started to fall.

  • I have been involved with weddings in the Evanston/North Shore area, West Loop neighborhood, and Chicago suburbs. As I’m based in Evanston, I’ve been present at many celebrations at the Woman’s Club of Evanston, and enjoy a good working relationship with their staff and vendors. I’ve stepped in on the fly at wedding rehearsals and ceremonies where I was attending as a guest, after learning that there was no one to cue the ceremony participants when it was time to start down the aisle! Remember: A venue coordinator is not necessarily the same as a day-of coordinator!

  • Let your family and friends enjoy your celebration! Let them be present to enjoy this special day with you This day goes by in a blink – enjoy it to the fullest!

  • What I can do: … visit your venues, be the point of contact for your vendors, create timelines for pre-event tasks, and timelines for the wedding day itself; assist with pew decorations, unity candles and programs; I will escort the bridal party to the site of the processional and cue family and attendants for their entrance; deliver payments to vendors and ceremony participants; secure gifts and oversee the return of rental items. I’ll come prepared with band-aids and breath mints, fix that broken hook on the bridesmaid’s dress, and will do whatever I can for you on this very special day!

  • My fees are competitive, yet cost-conscience. Not every wedding comes with an unlimited budget. That doesn’t mean you can’t still reap the benefits of a day-of coordinator.
